More about Ram Dass...

Ram Dass Satsang is a subscriber-based

spiritual community, or satsang, and serves

as Ram Dass’ medium for a deeper connection

to the satsang.  The satsang is a unique

opportunity to interact with Ram Dass on

a regular basis through live streaming events,

personal Heart-to-Heart video chat sessions,

a community discussion board, and more.

The satsang site hosts Ram Dass videos from

recent retreats and local Maui events and

satsangs, as well as a vast and growing

archive of past recordings in audio and video.

All of Ram Dass' teachings spanning the past

several decades are now at your fingertips. You

can watch videos from Ram Dass' early years

after his return from India, see interviews and

conversations with people like Allen Ginsberg,

Timothy Leary, Thich Nhat Hanh,

Deepak Chopra and Wayne Dyer, and

listen to talks and lectures from different

events and workshops throughout the years.

A monthly newsletter keeps you informed of

current activities, and Daily Wisdom emails

will brighten your day with reflections and

LOVE SERVE REMEMBER

LOVE SERVE REMEMBER

was one of the life changing teachings given to Ram Dass by his guru, Neem Karoli Baba.

His message of Love Everyone,  Serve Everyone and Remember God is in and of itself a method or a pathway to the Divine.

The powerful practice of

LOVE SERVE REMEMBER

later became an expression in the form of a boxedset of 6 LPs, with the same name, that ZBS produced with Ram Dass in 1973. It was recorded in part at WBAI in New York City containing phone calls, Ram Dass' reading from the Third Chinese Patriarch of Zen, The Gospel

According to John, the Ramayana, and music. The phone calls were especially moving. His advice to the callers was wonderful, so fresh, as though it were said yesterday.

November 19, 2008

Dear Ram Dass friends and satsang,

Many of you have asked for an update on Ram Dass’ health status since he had surgery for a broken hip on November 1st. Ram Dass is back home on Maui recuperating, working with a physical therapist, and as his recovery progresses plans to attend the upcoming retreat on the Big Island of Hawaii on December 10 with Krishna Das.

He is still receiving some post-surgery medication, but feeling better day by day and already getting involved with projects that have been on the fire. He plans to reflect about his recent accident during a live webcast this Sunday, November 23rd  (see details). Please join him.

Your loving thoughts and prayers have had a real effect on his recovery. May they return to you a thousand-fold!

Shanti,
Ramesh & Raghu
