BIPOC Satsang: Radical Acts of Remembering – A Juneteenth Gathering

In honor of Juneteenth this year, the BIPOC satsang will convene this month to explore the important lessons to be gained by exploring the endurance of the Black spirit. Maharajii continues to remind us not only to love, to serve, but also to remember. So this month, we intend to remind our community how important fugitivity is to liberation. How might we look to those who came before us to rediscover radical acts of survivance as the “Master” attempts to shackle us to modes of existence and systems of intolerance, many thought had been abolished long ago? What role do creativity, song, and chosen family have in building and maintaining resilience in the face of abject horror? This month, we come together to remember how to reclaim our God given freedom in spite of those who’d wish we’d forget. A celebration of not only of the liberation that has come before, but that which will come once again.

The BIPOC Satsang has been formed to help build allyship and agency among people who identify as Black, Indigenous, or People of Color/world majority to foster greater connection, involvement, and representation around the teaching of Ram Dass and Neem Karoli Baba.

For those who identify as Black, Indigenous, or a Person of Color, we invite you to this monthly virtual gathering to discuss unique topics and share your experiences and needs within the LSRF community.
