LGBTQ+ Satsang: Peer-to-Peer Emotional CPR with Angus Wright
August 11 @ 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm PDT
Peer-to-Peer Emotional CPR: Caring for Self and Others in Times of Crisis with Angus Wright
“I would like my life to be a statement of love and compassion–and where it isn’t, that’s where my work lies.” -Ram Dass
August’s LGBTQ+ Fellowship event celebrates the contributions of satsang member Angus Wright and offers insights on the practice of Peer-to-Peer Emotional CPR (eCPR). The evening will include several discussion points poised by Ram Dass curated from the Love Serve Remember Archives, as we ruminate together on a familiar question: How Can I Help?
Angus Wright (they/he) is a soul having a human experience, and a dog dad to Beau. Beau and Angus create wonderful memories as the ultimate pair of recovery and wellness facilitators and person-focused peer supporters in their local community. Beau is a service animal to Angus, and the service is reciprocal as both have been described as reactive. They’ve had a daily practice with RD since December 23, 2019 and reside in Ottawa, Ontario Canada, where Angus produces approximately 65 hours of peer recovery virtual support programming monthly, and mentors a team of peers pursuing recovery specialist certifications.
We invite you to gather in queer satsang in an act of mutual support. Let’s practice bringing the fullness of ourselves and our experiences to the table, so that we may all be of better service in times of crisis.
