What causes so much fear or discomfort for those who are facing their own death or that of their loved ones?
What techniques can we use to bring ourselves into boundlessness and insight, to come into the realization of the truth of impermanence?
Join Ram Dass, Roshi Joan Halifax and Frank Ostaseski for an intimate exploration of the blessing of our own mortality, and the ways in which we can come to terms with suffering and fear as tools for awakening.
This workshop program is intended for those in the profession of compassionate care-giving, end of life services and /or for those simply exploring their own mortality or those who maybe committed to caring for a special needs loved one.
While this program does not provide CEU’s the material covered is for “matters of the Heart” – compassionate caregiving and discovering what death can teach us about living fully.
Gina Salā, award winning vocalist, composer, musician, sound healer will serve as the program’s special musical guest.
There is limited space at the Makawao Union Church (150 attendees) and this Weekend Retreat / Workshop Series will Sell Out. Online Registration ONLY, no Walk Ups.
Saturday vegetarian lunch will be available by Monsoon India Restaurant. (no charge for full workshop / retreat participants or $15 cash to those who are “by session” participants)
