Ram Dass discusses how spiritual practice can create consciousness for outward action and social change. He discussed the different types of people who try to achieve social change. Some of them feel they need to change the world but not themselves. He also discusses how very successful business people are going within and learning the value of spiritual practice. He discusses the difference between materialism and the longing for real connection. He discusses the idea that happiness is trying to be pursued by material gain versus happiness being a state of being. (September, 1995.)
