BIPOC Satsang: How Can I Help?
May 20 @ 5:00 pm - 6:15 pm PDT
Each day, as division and violence seem to be more commonplace around the world, it is abundantly clear that we are in fact in the Kali Yuga. An era in which spirituality and morality seem to be waning — a dark age characterized by war and conflict. This is a world that challenges love’s devotees. Challenges us to resist the urge to callous the heart, and thus remain open to the pain of the heart breaking over and over again. While we know in theory that it is this very breaking, that allows compassion to flow, this knowing doesn’t make it any easier. Any less painful. The call to help lessen the suffering of the world seems louder than ever for many. But how can we help in a way that feels sustainable? Joyous? Light? When the world feels so dark. To help consciously is paramount if we are to avoid reinscribing, and reinforcing the various forces we are working “against.” Join us in family, friendship, and love to help each other figure out how we can best help the world around us.
We look forward to seeing you there!
